4DM gains ISO27001 data security accreditation

Kettering based direct mail specialist 4DM Group has achieved ISO27001 status which is the industry’s main data security accolade. With the increased awareness and sensitivity over customer data, more and more businesses are requesting this as part of their supplier selection criteria.
Government agencies and the financial services industry in particular are the key sectors that relate to ISO27001, but there are many other sectors that are looking for this standard as well.
Group Sales & Marketing Director, Lance Hill comments “Some might say it’s another box ticked along with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO12647-2, FSC & PEFC etc but data security is that bit more sensitive. We already had an excellent data handling structure in place but we needed to tighten up in a few areas to achieve the status. As well as opening up new customer opportunities it also enables us to participate in transactional mail as well as traditional dm”
